Braised Oxtails

Serves: 4-6
- 6 pounds Oxtails
- 5 Tablespoons Bomboclaat
- 1 Tablespoon Fire
- 1 cup Flour
- 3 Tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Cup Sherry (I sometimes use beer)
- 4 Tbs Liquid Smoke
- 1 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 8 Cloves of Garlic-minced
- 2 Medium Onions-Halved and sliced
- 2 Green Peppers-quartered and sliced
- Preheat oven 300 degrees
- In a large bowl mix the oxtails Bomboclaat and Fire until the oxtails are evenly coated.
- In a large cast iron pot or Dutch Oven add the oil and on medium/medium high heat sear the oxtails. (You may need to do this in batches)
- Mix all the other ingredients together in a large bowl
- Once all of the oxtails are seared, place them all back into the pot and add the liquid mixture over the top.
- Cover the pot with the lid and place in the oven on the middle rack.
- Let it cook for 3-4 hours until fork tender
- Serve over rice or mashed potatoes
