Sauteed Asparagus

Ingredients
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon, diced (I use beef bacon)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red or sweet onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed, sliced in 4- to 5-inch lengths
  • 1½ tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of Black Magic
Instructions
  1. Render the fat from the bacon in a skillet
  2. Add the olive oil, onions, and garlic
  3. Once onions become transparent, add the asparagus
  4. Rotate asparagus every few 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired doneness
  5. Add the Black Magic and the vinegar.
  6. Enjoy!
Notes
If you are vegetarian, you can try substituting the bacon for 1 tablespoon of liquid smoke. You will add it at the end with the vinegar.
