Sauteed Asparagus

Ingredients
- 4 slices thick cut bacon, diced (I use beef bacon)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red or sweet onion
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed, sliced in 4- to 5-inch lengths
- 1½ tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of Black Magic
Instructions
- Render the fat from the bacon in a skillet
- Add the olive oil, onions, and garlic
- Once onions become transparent, add the asparagus
- Rotate asparagus every few 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired doneness
- Add the Black Magic and the vinegar.
- Enjoy!
Notes
If you are vegetarian, you can try substituting the bacon for 1 tablespoon of liquid smoke. You will add it at the end with the vinegar.
